Towards Sustainable Stabilization: Utilizing Waste Material as Binder

Abstract The expansion and contraction of black cotton soil makes it difficult to build structures on it. behavior must be adapted make suitable for construction purposes. This research is an attempt evaluate the geotechnical characteristics by performing laboratory testing incorporating ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) (10, 20, 30 40%) polypropylene fiber (0.5, 1 1.5%) so as use combination subgrade material. Various testing’s such consistency limits, compaction California bearing ratio (CBR) tests were conducted varying amount both materials. revealed that adding right GGBFS alone or in improved features (BCS). mix obtained does not only solve problems associated with BCS but also provides a cost effective solution stabilization.
